HCF began a partnership with Youth For Christ back in the year 2000 and through ongoing financial and volunteer support we have consistently served together to provide programs to the First Nations youth of our community.

Mobile Outreach launched in May of 1998. Today staff drive a customized bus to Esquimalt, Quw’utsun, Tsawout and Tseycum Nations where they run weekly programs for youth ages 8-18.
Involving Area Churches
Area churches pray, provide financial support and send volunteer leaders who help run our weekly programs that include a God Talk, nutritious snacks, games, crafts, sports and bus trips. These programs are only possible because Indigenous community leaders keep their doors open, and community staff and youth continue to ask for the Blue Bus team to return each week.
Youth love hanging out with our staff and leaders but the team members enjoy the youth just as much. In the midst of these relationships filled with fun and serious conversation, leaders are able to both model the love of Jesus Christ and talk about how important Jesus is to them.
